Daniel and Matthias met almost 15 years ago at their previous employer in the automotive industry and very quickly realized that they had very distinct but complementary skills in their passion for software.
Working out the "what and why" with a client, developing the ideas into a holistic vision and business strategy, and getting investors and development teams excited about it - that's Matthias. To then create the whole thing, sometimes magically, and turn it into reality with incomparable quality, that's Daniel.
After many years, projects, last-minute completion campaigns and some long disputes about what actually constitutes good software and software development, the idea of going our own way together came up more than once.
During this time, we were joined by a number of other colleagues and now good friends. One of them was Tobias, who, with his extensive experience as a software freelancer and his innate entrepreneurial spirit, had already successfully managed several companies. The decision was made during the coronavirus pandemic: The joint company was founded.
The time had finally come to take matters into their own hands and realize what they had imagined over the past few years.
The company name had been fixed for some time and is an acronym of two of the most essential principles of software development for us: "Don't Repeat Yourself" and "Separation Of Concerns".
We are convinced that only through consistent modularization (SOC) and one-time implementation (DRY) can long-lasting and expandable software be developed.
After that, it took a while before the activities really got underway. Daniel and Matthias were still employed by their old employer and wanted to clarify and finalize a few issues first. Daniel has been employed 100% by his own company since July 2022 and Matthias followed on 01.01.2023.
Due to various projects running in parallel, we also quickly strengthened our team. With Jessica as an excellent senior developer from our shared past, and Bernd as an IT system specialist with over 15 years of experience in the digitalization, administration and operation of large hospital complexes, we are well positioned for the next steps in the ever-increasing digitalization in various industrial and social sectors.
