Brunata-Metrona

Brunata-Metrona is a highly qualified service provider that offers its customers consumption-based billing of heating and water costs. To successfully implement this business model, several teams at different locations develop and maintain software systems that fully automate these billing processes. For various reasons, such as depleted IT resources, cost optimization and new customer requirements, the transformation to cloud services has already been successfully initiated for the entire company.

As part of a joint project with DrySoc GmbH, the current status of DevOps at Brunata-Metrona was analyzed. After intensive discussions with the stakeholders involved, we were able to create a detailed report for the management. This contained a comprehensive assessment of the status quo, e.g. with regard to the existing software architecture and technology stack, the existing infrastructure and established dependencies in the organizational structure, processes and common best practices in software development. Strengths and opportunities, as well as weaknesses and risks, were compiled in a SWOT analysis. A new concept was derived, which further detailed Brunata-Metrona's path towards cloud services and defined key milestones. This included technical, process-related and strategic elements for the migration strategy.

Based on this, we jointly developed a plan to realize the efficient migration to cloud-based DevOps. With our extensive experience, we were able to convince the management and then began the transformation journey together and accompanied our customer until the implementation was completed.

This fruitful collaboration formed the basis for further joint activities in the product area. Today, our specialists support Brunata-Metrona's development teams in their daily work in the areas of software development, technical roadmap and infrastructural evolution. We look forward to taking further steps together with our colleagues at Brunata-Metrona in the future to keep moving their world forward.
